The convergence of my academic training in Statistics and Computer Science, combined with my professional milestone of deploying end-to-end predictive machine learning pipelines, has made it clear that advanced technology must serve global human development. In reviewing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), my career trajectory and technical background align most profoundly with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13: Climate Action. As rapidly developing urban landscapes experience unprecedented growth, leveraging mathematically sound artificial intelligence to navigate the compounding effects of climate change is both a technical imperative and a socio-economic necessity.
