Overview

An innovation accelerator, not a course

ADISP fuses artificial intelligence, data science, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership and future-of-work skills into one mentorship-led, competency-based pathway. It equips young Africans, most of them women and many from rural and under-served communities, to create, lead and thrive in the AI economy - and to lift others as they rise.

Built for young people 15–35 - and open to anyone motivated to build their digital future.

A representative cohort runs full-time over about 28 weeks, with part-time and stretched options that hold the same standard over a longer period.

Why now

The future-skills crisis - and the window to solve it

Africa has the youngest, fastest-growing workforce on earth - and one of the widest gaps between the skills young people are taught and the skills the AI economy now rewards. ADISP is built to close that gap.

A generation of young Africans, beginning with the under-served youth of Ghana’s Western North, who create, lead and thrive in the AI economy on equal terms with anyone in the world.

EGA equips young people, most of them women and many from rural and under-served communities, with practical, AI-native digital skills and the mentorship, character and professional habits to move into dignified, fulfilling work and enterprise, and to lift others as they rise.

Every learner runs the same disciplined loop that real innovators and startups use - from understanding a human problem to shipping and scaling a solution. It is design thinking and lean product practice, made concrete and repeated until it becomes instinct.

Mentorship, AI fluency and professional habits run through every phase; the technical depth increases at each step. You advance by meeting the standard, so quality stays constant even when pace varies.

An EGA graduate is defined by ability, not attendance. Across every track you develop seven competencies, each assessed through the real work you produce, a portfolio you own, and a live defence of your decisions.

Each competency is developed on a four-level scale

Applied Studio

Real internship

A work-integrated internship, not a work-experience placeholder

In the Applied Studio you stop being a student and become a supervised delivery team, shipping real products under professional conditions. Mentors act as product owners and reviewers, near-peer trainers act as team leads, and you hold a real role.

Definition of done

Applied to every deliverable. This is where professional behaviour is trained and assessed.

  • The work meets the brief's acceptance criteria and passes review.
  • It is tested, documented, and reproducible by someone else.
  • You can explain and defend every decision, including where and how AI was used.

For learners who want to build a venture rather than take a job, the Digital Entrepreneurship Studio is a built-in incubator: a structured path from a raw idea to a validated product and an investable pitch, using no-code and AI tools to move fast and cheap.

We start where opportunity usually runs out, with young women, with learners who have a disability, and with talented young people far from the big cities. A 70% participation target for women, accessible delivery, low-bandwidth and partly-offline learning, and support with devices and connectivity mean that background is not destiny.
